Highly palatable complementary food for dogs and cats in oral suspension recommended for dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. Medicinal mushrooms have been shown to play an important role in modulating the inflammatory and immune response in osteoarthritis and arthritis. They protect the animal and contribute to the optimal care and maintenance of joints, degenerative processes of joint cartilage and strengthening the ligaments and tendons.
INDICATIONS Inceases the integrity and protection of cartilage and joint capsule (chondroprotection). Helps to clinically improve the degree of mobility and flexibility of joints thanks to active compounds such as hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulphate, glucosamine, collagen or elastin, naturally present in the eggshell membrane. Aids older dogs and cats with osteoarthritis or degenerative processes of articular cartilage. Use as pre- and/or post-operative joint surgery health recovery product, post-traumatic conditions or treatment protocols for arthropathies.
Recommended for dogs and cats with high levels of exercise, overweight or puppies of large and giant breeds that have a rapid growth (between 6 and 18 months). Collagen type II (Native), incorporated in the composition, helps to decrease plasma and urinary levels of CTX-II (bio-marker of collagen-dependent cartilage degradation) while helping to maintain the integrity of articular cartilage and to restore motor activity and postural balance in animal models
Herizumib®:
Is a new technological product developed and patented by Hifas da Terra for HifasVet. This new functional ingredient is the result of fermentation methods from strain DSM34087 of Hericium erinaceus. It is our own strain isolated in Pontevedra and we have in vitro studies that support its use in our animal mycotherapy food supplements. Due to its anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects and therapeutic activity at neurological and oncological levels.
Cordyceps Sinesis:
Cordyceps sinensis (Cordyceps) is rich in natural active biomolecules such as beta-glucans, ergosterol or provitamin D, essential amino acids, linoleic and linolenic acid, B vitamins (B1, B2 and B12) and minerals such as manganese, zinc, selenium, chromium and phosphorus. It is particularly high in cordycepin, cordycepic acid and adenosine. The extensive traditional uses of this medicinal mushroom have led science in general and our R&D team to study it intensively in areas such as the musculoskeletal system, osteoarthritis and muscle development, the metabolicendocrine system (hormone regulation) and other areas such as immunology and the respiratory system (lung function).
Shiitake:
Lentinula edodes (Shiitake) is known as a delicious edible mushroom and is widely used in gastronomy. However, its content of bioactive substances such as phenolic compounds, immunomodulators, among many others, also make it of great interest in human and animal health care. It contains all the essential amino acids and is notable for its micronutrient content, such as iron, calcium and zinc, B vitamins, vitamin E and provitamin D, unsaturated fatty acids and a large amount of polysaccharides, especially lentinan. This polysaccharide, like PSK, is a β-glucan 1-3 with a strong immunomodulatory effect.
Reishi:
Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi) or ‘mushroom of eternal youth’ is one of the most recognised medicinal mushrooms in the world. The benefits of Reishi are due to the presence of active biomolecules or specific nutrients: the main ones are polysaccharides such as beta-glucans (especially β-D-glucans), terpenes (especially triterpenes) and peptidoglycans. It contains hundreds of bioactive components that are studied for their relevant role in: cognitive impairment, endocrine-metabolic system (including liver cells), immunology and defence and integrative support in quality of life studies in human and veterinary medicine.
Eggshell membrane:
Eggshell membrane contains a new generation of functional ingredients widely used in human and veterinary medicine. It is a natural source of collagen, hyaluronic acid, elastin, chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine. These ingredients that act synergistically to maintain healthy joints in dogs and cats. They help to improve joint range of motion (decreased flexion angle and increased extension angle), promote muscle condition and increase activity level in dogs and cats
Native collagen type II:
Collagen is a primary structural protein in the connective tissues that make up tendons, ligaments, skin and cartilage. It plays a vital role in the maintenance of the cartilage, tendons and ligaments that keep joints functioning properly. Collagen type II, known as undenatured or unhydrolysed collagen, is naturally occurring collagen in its biologically active form. It works through an immune-mediated mechanism, a process known as oral tolerance. Through this mode of action, native type II collagen is recognised by the immune system as a known substance and deactivates the body’s immune response against its own collagen.
10% Herizumib®: Hericium erinaceus fermented mycelium, (patent pending biotechnologically produced strain), 2,8% Cordyzumib® Vet - Cordyceps militaris fermented mycelium, 1 % Lentinula edodes micronised carpophore, 0,5 % Ganoderma lucidum micronised carpophore (natural sources of β-glucans 1,3- 1,6), 0,75 % egg membrane (natural source of collagen, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin and glucosamine), 0,1 % native collagen type II, pea protein.
