Highly palatable complementary food in oral suspension for dogs and cats recommended for all ages and breeds. Medicinal mushrooms have shown a relevant role in improving the quality of life of pets going through oncological processes, reducing the side effects associated with treatments. Their bioactive molecules have cytotoxic, anti-tumour and antimetastatic properties.
INDICATIONS: Supportive treatment in oncological processes, especially for older dogs with mammary carcinoma. Symbiotic product that contributes to correcting dysbiosis and modulating the immune response and supports the efficacy of oncological treatments, improving the quality of life of dogs and cats through immunomodulatory mechanisms. It aids recovery from states of anorexia, cachexia and associated weakness. Beta-glucans 1,3 - 1,6, active molecules naturally present in mushrooms, help to strengthen defences and stimulate the production of antibodies and the activity of leukocytes (phagocytosis), lymphocytes (blastogenesis), neutrophils (PMN), monocytes, macrophages and dendritic cells, which promote the cascade production of cytokines and interleukins, responsible for the immune response.
Herizumib®:
Hifas da Terra for HifasVet. This new functional ingredient is the result of fermentation from strain DSM34087 of Hericium erinaceus. It is our own strain isolated in Pontevedra and we have in vitro studies that support its use in our animal mycotherapy food supplements due to its anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects and therapeutic activity at a neurological and oncological level.
Oyster mushroom:
Pleurotus ostreatus (oyster mushroom) is a medicinal mushroom of scientific interest due to its composition of polysaccharides and other bioactive substances such as dietary fibre, enzymes, phenolic compounds, vitamins D and B and peptides such as ostreolysin, laccase, lectin and minerals such as zinc. It acts on the immune system and as a prebiotic, so its ingredients promote intestinal and digestive health and to boost the immune system.
Maitake:
Grifola frondosa (Maitake), is one of the medicinal mushrooms used in traditional medicine as a health tonic due to its adaptogenic quality. Grifola is a prized edible in China and Japan, where it has also been used for medicinal purposes for centuries. It contains polysaccharides such as beta-glucans, grifolan and grifolin, immunomodulators of fungal origin. It also contains lectins, enzymes, provitamin D, vitamins (B group), ergosterol and fatty acids (palmitic, oleic and linoleic) and important minerals such as magnesium, phosphorus and potassium. Its therapeutic action has been proven to activate metabolism and detoxify the body.
Reishi:
Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi) or ‘mushroom of eternal youth’ is one of the most recognised medicinal mushrooms. The benefits of Reishi are due to the presence of active biomolecules or specific nutrients: the main ones are polysaccharides such as beta-glucans (especially β-D-glucans), terpenes (especially triterpenes) and peptidoglycans. It contains hundreds of bioactive components or components that are studied for their relevant role in: cognitive impairment, endocrine-metabolic system (including liver cells), immunology and defence and integrative support in quality of life studies in human and veterinary medicine.
Turkey tail:
Coriolus versicolor (Turkey tail) Its used in dogs with haemangiosarcoma and it showed a decrease in progression of splenic tumours and progression of abdominal metastasis. In addition, there was an improvement in survival and quality of life of the dogs. Polysaccharide-rich extracts obtained from certain medicinal mushroom species, such as Coriolus versicolor, have shown in vitro anti-proliferative effects on canine tumour cells (lymphoma, sarcoma and mammary carcinoma).
Agaricus blazei Murill:
Agaricus blazei Murill or ´sun mushroom´ is one of the best known and most studied medicinal mushrooms due to its high polysaccharide and mineral content, also of interest to the immune system. It stands out for its quantity of active biomolecules, especially β-glucans (immunomodulatory polysaccharides) and minerals such as zinc. Its natural GABA content, its action on the health of the intestinal microbiota and neurogenesis is being studied. Its role is relevant in health areas such as: Immunology (allergies) and its activity in combination with conventional treatments and its effect on the quality of life of pets.
